Mr. Ryan Connolly earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering as well as his Bachelor’s of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Michigan Technological University. During his undergraduate studies, he discovered a passion for problem solving, the design process, as well as design analysis. In his senior design capstone project, Mr. Connolly and his team designed and prototyped a multi-stage gear-train for a small bone drill.
Mr. Connolly earned his Master’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University with a focus on design analysis and Finite Element Modeling. During his graduate studies he had the opportunity to work on design projects that developed his critical thinking skills as well as his understanding of failure modes. These projects involved research into the possible risk factors, failure modes, as well as the relevant standards.
Mr. Connolly is beginning his accident reconstruction career in the Novi office as an Associate Scientist, where he will aid in accident reconstruction and analysis. He is excited to begin down this career path and become a value add on the Explico accident reconstruction team.
